Us time

Do you ever want to grab a frying pan and hit your love one with it? No? guess is just me. Today has got me cranky. I'm OCD and anal retentive for a lot of stuff but some I consider common sense: if the garbage bag is closed, get a new one-do not place items on top of it.

If the little guy redecorates the living room, try to at least pick up a few items of the floor. Seems simple enough but it never fails that the men in this house seem to forget to do. Case in point:

After returning home from the GW to donate even more crap (they don't take TV's? did you know that?) I started making dinner...when all the sudden I realize the big kid and the hubs went to get a nap. seriously? at dinner time? they left me with the little kid and just went their Merry way without even saying anything.

I was ready to do a choke hold on them when the little guy started giggling. Then when he saw me move his high chair and he exclaimed so happily "Oh yeah"!. What can I say, the kid love his food. Then as I was trying to cool down his food he saw that it was chicken quesadillas- one of his favorite- so he yelled WAIT, WAIT 'cause he though I was taking the food back to the kitchen.

I enjoyed a nice dinner, just the two of us. He trying to talk to me in his little gibberish way, I responded with oh, yes and wao. We toasted over a sippy cup and a bottle of water... It reminded me that some days I do need the time to be just him and I. He didn't notice the other two gone, so maybe I should let it pass....this time.

Love you little guy, you melt me.

A latte bowl and a baby shower

It's been quite nice these days to be home. I'm finally doing what I've been wanting to do for so long. Over the Holidays I saw a picture of me and though "wow, I look so heavy on that picture" then I realize that the Truth is that is not the picture, is me. The longer I postpone this, the longer I would feel heavy and fat. So I started working out.

First I tried the zumba but that was too much for me, even though I love to dance. So now I'm walking at home and I feel great. Actually I feel like I'm about to pass 10 minutes after starting but once I'm done I feel FANTASTIC.

Also, like everyone else I've been decrapfiying the house. 'm one of those that have to have the fridge organize: Juice to the left, milk in the middle, water to the right { I'm cool like that} Anything that we haven't use since we moved here is out the door. I had a huge black garbage bag of clothes that I no longer wear so I donate those. Even the bathroom cabinet got a good organization. It looks so good, imagine that even Super A {oldest} said how nice and organize it looks.

**** I interrupt this blog to announce that the Hubs did a funky dance in the middle of the living room because the JETS are winning. He is such a dork!****

Today I dropped shopping bags upon shopping bags, upon more things of baby stuff back to my Sister. She is having a little one soon, so even more baby stuff will go her way, including baby toys because Aiden has been blessed with tons of toys and we really don't need him to have all that. I figure every time he gets a few more we will donate some of his old stuff.

I'm patiently {not} waiting for a few orders that I made online. For one Anthropoly has their famous Latte bows set of four for $7!!! yeap, these are usually $20 (set of 6 is $30 of different colors) so I couldn't pass them out. I figure since all of our Dinner wear is white I can bring some color with these. And maybe get a set of different colors annually, like Nienie does.

I also placed an order with E.L.F for some $1 makeup. They got great reviews, specially the lash curler so I'll let you know when I get those. Oh, and lets not forget my free nail polishes from Zoya. I'll see how I like them, but I wont buy from them again after my little incident {read previous post}.

I'm off to create a "cirque du Bebe" baby shower, I can't say much in case she sees this, but is going to be oh-so-cute :) and lets not forget that tonight is "Bridalplasty"~ this show is so ridiculous that it's fantastic. Plus the big kid and I have been watching movies together: "Once Bitten"{remember this from the 80's? Jim Carey's first movie? a classic}, then yesterday "Donney Darko" because we have never seen this, and today he has agreed to watch "Julie & Julia" with me...he must love me. *sigh*

Lean steak and twice bake potatoes? yes, thank you.

It happened on a Monday

Some days I feel like I live in a sitcome (crazy neighboors and all). These are a few things that happened Monday...

~enjoyed my newly made garland

~ picked up my fixed boots. $13 for new heels, much better than buying new heels. I'm learning...slowly, but I am.

~ Aiden joins the tradition of drinking milk and Orange Juice...on his own may I add. He had his juice and decided to grab his bottle from the fridge.

~ Made another traditional meal, which combined Ketchup and hot sauce...I'm a mess!

~ return to the store with an Ice cream that was 3 months past expiration date. Got a brand new one for free :)

~ keeping with my new goals: I actually measure ½ cup (shows the 1 cup because the other one was dirty, but believe me I measure it!) of ice cream and THAT'S ALL I ATE :)

~ on the hunt for an EOS lip balm...now I can't find them, a few weeks ago they where staring me in the face everywhere.

~ I was bullied on FB. Seriously. Over NAIL POLISH!!!. I had a bad experience with the Customer Service of a Co. that was giving a free product. I believe in great service and no matter how many free items you give me I wont say otherwise. When I posted on their wall (as my last resort since they wouldn't return my calls-emails). Basically I was called ignorant, stupid, low life, etc for complaining about them. I keep replying very politely and sarcastically things like : "thanks, your comment has changed my life" or "yay, agreed" Or even making fun at how entertaining it must be for that Co. to see grown women attacking one another over polish. I ended up making my exit stating that I needed to polish my nails. Technology has strike again making cowards into bullys hiding behind a computer screen.

~ called the Mom-ster to find out how Dad is doing; Dad proceeds to tell me he is calling the police 'cause Mom hide his machete (seriously? Robert Rodriguez I'm blaming you)

~received a call back from Mom-ster crying. Dad (who has a mental illness) proceeds to cut her arm with a sharp tool. I panicked. Thankfully one of my sister's went to their home and Dad calmed down. I'm feeling sorry for her, I really am. My oldest asked me if I think this was karma. With all my heart I hope is not.

~decided after all the drama I was going to belch out a rendition of "Airplanes" all off key...on purposed. "Can we pretend that Aaaaairplanes in the niiiiiight skieeeees like shooting stars, I can really use a wish right noooooow, a wish right nooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwww".

I seriously need to watch more mindless TV tonight. uhm....Brideplasty? I think so.

Top 2 Tuesday by The Undomestic Momma

I'm joining the Undomesticated Momma with her top Tuesday!

Strange Addictions
Isn't that fun. I have to admit hers is also out there, so go check her out. Mine?

1. Vicks Vapor Rub
growing upI used to rub this like a face mask: all over my face, temples and even neck. Couldn't go to sleep without it until one day the Mom-ster took it away from me and said no more. Now I have one on my nightstand, and although I don't put it all over, I still have to put some inside my nostrils (a big no-no) every night.

2. Strange foods:

not sure if this would qualify...is very uncommon here but is actually all over the homeland. We do not use mayo on sandwich's but KETCHUP. My oldest even has it with Tuna...ok, that one is a little gross. And we also love orange juice with milk! yumm.

Hope you are having a terrific day!

what's that smell?

That would be MOI and the fact that I was soooo freaking lucky to have a Hubs that understand that being a girl is complicated. I asked the hubs this past weekend if we could go to a Lush store in NYC and so we did!

I got only a few things and only because they where on sale but WOW that stuff smells divine. Here's what I got:

Top left: Honey I bathe the kids soap~ amazing Honey smell
Top right: Demon in the dark ~Fresh, minty and mysterious~ got this for the hubs
bottom left: Therapy bar, which is pure cocoa and Shea butter...this is for the pregger Sister
Bottom right: Soft Coeur~ chocolate and delish...you just melt between yous palms for a bit and applies like a lotion!
Love them, and there was so much more I love but I was good and stayed on budget. There are in a drawer in my room and I swear as soon as you come close you can smell these. I wanted to finish my Fortune cookie soaps before I use these but I couldn't wait so I tried Honey I bathe the kids...A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

Besides that their products are all natural and most of them vegan {if that's your thing} I also have to give props to the ladies there because they where very friendly, and made me feel welcome and where very eager to show me the products and answer questions. Sales pitch? you betcha, but it works. No one wants to shop where they feel like a 12 yr old in a China cabinet.

they even gave me a hand massage... what better way to feel pampered?

Oh yes, with this:

This is the Tarte Jewelry Box Limited Edition for Sephora

It has 32 eye shadows (16 matte and 16 shimmery) 8 lip glosses, highlighter and contour bronzer for the cheeks and 5 eye pencils. Perfect just to carry one thing instead of different items. The Hubs was bad and broke our no gifts for us policy and got me this for Christmas. He wuws me :)

I love that the eye shadows are full size and very pigmented. I use this on me and my SIL for New Years. I think is my new fav makeup palette! So I got spoiled and I loved every bit of it.
Now let me go smell my soaps again so my kid can look at me funny and have something else to tell his future therapist.

Top Ten Moments of 2010

This is proof of how much I love Ashley from Domestic Fashionista, she has this wonderful link party of the best of 2010, so of course I will join in!

You all know of my trials and tribulations but over all, the year ended better than it started. These are some of my favorite things from 2010: (in no particular order)

1. Getting a home again!

2. Our Bubba turning ONE

3. After 8 yrs of waiting and lots paperwork Alain finally comes to live with us

4. Aiden's Baptism back in the homeland

5. and while we were there, enjoying seeing our families again!

6. Aiden's first trip to a lake. This was awesome because we took this trip up to the Poconos, PA and got to see the hubs family

7. Another Wedding Anniversary. He loves and understands me. He is my rock and I love him. This road is so much easier because of him.

8. Alain graduated High School (with Honors may I add)

9. Family trip to the beach.; which was also Aiden's first time in a pool or the ocean. I love that we stayed all together, joking around, making meals together...good times.

10. Finally, all of our trips to NYC in which I am reminded that life is full of beauty, if you let it. That like always, I'm leaning on him and I'm never alone.

Thanks Ashley for allowing me to put things in perspective. THIS IS TO A GREAT 2011
