A wondering mind

*** Random post Alert***

Finally this horrible, stressed out, panic attack inducing week is over. we survived.
I was able to finally have a descent sleep night on Wednesday after watching "American Horror Story". Figures. And let me tell you, this afternoon I though the truck was stolen and was panicking again...until hubs who was taking a nap told me he parked around the building since there was no space available. Fun, right?

My mind wonders aimlessly until I am so fed up of trying to go to sleep, that I just get up...something like this:

Ugh, I need to pay the car, then the rent and the cable... how do people do it? Seriously is like we are always paying crap. I want to go shopping instead. Yeah...MAC shopping and maybe Lush...wait, don't I have a free sample from L'Occitane? yeah I think I do...

I 've got to remember to get rice tomorrow, and cat food...crap I'm gonna forget. Fantastic.
oh, I like that purse from QVC...it would be good for Karina's Birthday. Crap even more money for Birthdays...
Birthday. Aiden's Birthday. I have to figure out how to do volcano cupcakes...or just top them with Dinosaurs, oh and I need stuff for the goody bags...ok is fine, is 6 months from now.
Better think of Christmas. Gift shopping. Crap. The Hubs needs a new coat, and boots... blah, blabidy blah...for like an hour.

Then I continue thinking of tv...

You know who I miss from tv? Barnabas Collins. Seriously "dark shadows" was awesome, and creepy...maybe because I was young. But I love it...and "Tales from the Crypt" why they don't so a Halloween special? ugh...maybe I can find it online...

oh and HEATHERS! I love Heathers...and Wynona Ryder...I do love her, hahaha, I'm dork. I miss seeing her on movies. Wasn't she the Mom of Spuck from that space movie thing hubs likes? yeaaaaaahhhh, I'm pretty sure she was....

I seriously have issues, and apparently a wondering mind that doesn't shut off.

Finding cheese on the floor

Rambling warning

It's 2:50am and I still can sleep. At first I said let me just catch up on "Weeds" {the show people!} because gawd knows I need motivation after the show went to the crapper for me. Seriously, doesn't this woman ever learn? I heard from a friend that does recreation drugs-something I'm complete against-that this happens to a lot of drug people when they come out of jail, they don't know what to do and go back to the same life, to me is just plain dumb, but hey is a TV show so I will indulge my curiosity since is the last season.

Now I'm fully alert and not in the mood to watch the rest of the episodes...so I'm on the computer checking the Postsecrets of the day. They make me sad, and make me laugh, and some of them touch my heart because there is so much hurt out there...

Oh, I forgot to warn you this was going to be a rambling post...kinda one of those in which people just write for 5 minutes what ever comes to mind.

so, where was I? oh yes, hurt...I always said I hate technology because of the things it does to us and it seems growing an extra set of balls usually happens when someone is behind a computer screen or a phone...gosh people can be mean.

um, what else? I went thrift shopping but didn't get anything although next to one Goodwill there is a Pier1 and I was tempted to get an Owl. Lovely creatures...which made me think of a boy I use to know back home who had one as a pet, who dies of eating too many bananas...the owl, not the boy.

I also decided to create a list of things I want to get for the house now the old CD collection resides in pretty white IKEA boxes. So the list goes like this:

1. Paint walls of living/dinning room
2. get curtains for livingroon
3.get the shelves for the kitchen so I can display my pretty collection of Anthro bowls.
uhmmm, thats it, not too much to ask...although I saw this mirror @ Michael's that must be mine.

In other news I found out that since is the second year of the Learning Center they are only going to allow kids that are going to attend that specific adjacent school, so Aiden won't be going to play there again...MAJOR bummer since he loved it there, lets see if the rest of the schools around here jump on the plan too so he can go back. This means I'm gonna have to do a lot more of trips with him to the library, museums, etc.

And before I go let me show you what he got into today, which got me in to the tittle of the post. The little rascall got in the fridge, took out some of the baby bell cheese and proceeded to peal it and eat it...at least I know he would never starve. I love that kid. I don't even want to know what he ate before that made his poop come out green...

P.S.
I got some new candles that I'm in love and nail polishes...I will show you soon!

She said:Have you lost your mind? (Shakes head vehemently) ....nope, still squishing around up there

Like everything in life you make plans, and then something happens.
We took yet another trip to NYC this weekend to finish my dental work. After I finished with my Endodontist here and found out it was going to cost me $2,500 for the work AND that my regular dentist wanted $550 cash to see me again, we decided it was betterto go see my Dear Cousin the Dentist who would do it for…FREE! (and yes, unbelievable enough I DO have insurance).

(hubs driving)

So off we went Friday night after work, it tooks us 2 extra hours to get there due to construction on the turnpike and the GW Bridge.
My poor little angel got sick in the car and all over me. I’m lucky enough to be holding my kids when they decided to have a vomit fest but I don’t mind really, I’m already immune to vomit, poo and things of the sorts. I have superpowers.

Saturday, after the dentist we hang out at home and got ready for a birthday bash. If you know my hubs family they don’t need a reason to party but when they do is even more fun. Seriously had a blast, even though at times the floor fell like it was gonna cave. Seriously. Like in one of those Youtube videos where people are in the middle of the dance floor and then KAPUT. My friend kept holding to the window ledge, while I emphatically tried to get up while holding a sleeping baby. Fun times I say.

(us...Oh my Grandma, what a big nose you have)

Unfortunately said child got sick…vomiting, fever, not eating, etc… and we don’t know if it was the teething, the long trip or the cold but we (him and I) spent
the last two days cuddling at home watching Nick Jr and reruns of Law & Order (hey, there just so much Dora, Blues Clues, Woobzy I can take on one day).

The curse of the freebie

I received an email two days ago from Oil of Olay telling me about this free offer on their Regenerist Started Trio kit for the first 1,000 women that sign in. Being a whore for free stuff…Of course I’m in!. So I mark my calendar for 2/24 12:00am in order to get it. I was blow-drying my hair last night when I realized it was 11:58pm. I rush out of the bathroom like a bat out of hell…

Get off, get off, get off! ~ I yelled

Hubs: what?
The Oil of Olay thingy is now, I must enter!
the what!?

oil of olaaaaayyyy get off….

he moves away from the computer while I tried to explain what it is.

So I log in and click on the link…darn it…is for 12:00pm!!!! ARRRRGGGG wait another 12 hours.

Ok so today I’m at work checking thru my phone and nothing, the link doesn’t work until that time. I seriously have my phone glued to my hand going back and forward trying to get in…c’mom 11:57…11:58…almost there…a voice asks "are you going to lunch?”….Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I’m concentrating go away…11:59….finally 12:00pm!

I click and then…link is too busy …overload…try later.

WHAT? This is not happening, do it a few times…nothing. I send the link to hubs office and I call him desperately yelling at him he must log on…he is like what on earth woman…I told him AGAIN about the OoA thingy, he finally agreed to do it. (doesn't he sees the magnitude of this? narrow minded men I say)... I keep trying all the while on my phone…nothing.

WAIT

WHAT DOES THAT SAID?

WHAT THE HECK!

The message read: “we are sorry but this offer has ended. But you can still save with these coupons”

At the same time the hubs calls back and tells me he got the same message…he says “wow, you women don’t kid around with your free samples”
No we don’t darling because it would save US money!

UGH, now I have to be content with the free samples I’m getting from DHC
Seriously their Olive Oil makeup wash thingy is AMAZING…
Hey, at least I got the free samples in last years class-action settlement with the big stores that offered free Makeup (Estee Lauder, Clinique, etc.)

Back to regular schedule progam.

It happen like this...well sort off.

It was a sunny hot day in November. Yes, HOT. Living in the caribean has their advantages. It was such a busy street, you could just sit there for hours watching the cars pass. She was so tired from school. She was sitting on the bus stop bench waiting for him. He was always so quiet and at the same time he always seem to get her. Funny thing was that the age gap didnt faced either of them. She was 16, he was 22. She didn't get all the things that people said about him. She figure they just didn't know him like she did.

As always he was speeding like a bat out of hell and stopped the car with screeching tires. He smile at her. She got in the car and said "Hi"

Him: whats wrong?
her: nothing
him: not nothing, I kow you...
her: can we just drive?
him: sure...

She was broken hearted. Sad. disapointed.
She didnt want to go home; what for? her mother was probably in one of her moods and would be asking her to do stuff that she simply did not care about. There was also the inminent fact that they would be moving soon, once the house her family was building was finished. But she could care less about those things, life as she know it was over. After all isnt that like any 16yr old feels after her boyfriend does something stupid. Life was over. She would never love again.

They drove in silence for a while like they did so many other times. She was thinking that's the reason he liked her, 'cause she didnt bug him with stupid questions or with an incesant amount of useless topics. She turned her face away from the window to look at him. He was always there. Always dropping everything to pick her up. to hang. Even went so far to follow her when she went to the beach for a week with ehr family. He was there. She wonder why...

She smiled.

"why are you smiling?"
" no reason"
"have been drinking havent you?"
"you know I don't drin....watch out for that car!!!! Geez, I swear one of these days you are going to kill us"
"impossible" he smiled.

He knew she was sad, he suspected it had something to do with her boyfriend. They never talked about him. He just casually mentioned it once saying someone had told him her boyfriend was back from abroad.

Where do you wanna go?
Her: anywhere...
lets go to my house
Ok

A few weeks passed and she knew she had to tell him. he first time she mentioned her suspicion he blow it off saying she must do something. She knew in heart what was going to happen. She knew and she didn't care. She had a brave heart. The brave heart of a ignorant 16yr that thinks the world will work itself out, the heart that has hope and dreams and just KNOWS things will work out. The one heart that cannot see that things...that life...was quite hard and difficult.

She knew in her heart, she knew in the pit of her stomach that this would be the last time she would see him. She was sad. Not because she loved him but because he had been at one time her best friend. He was the one she wanted to call when she wanted to get away from it all. The one she depended on. And she knew. She knew that would be no more.

She just wished she didn't have to do it on his birthday but she couldn't put it off any longer.

He picked her up and drove them to his house so he could finish getting ready. She brought his present along and hand it over to him as he was sitting on his bed tying his shoes.

This is for you. Happy Birthday...

oh, thank you...you know you didn't have to.

I know, I wanted to...uhm...I have to talk to you...

He stopped what he was doing and looked up.
yeah?, tell me.

Remember our conversation last month?

Yes.

Well, it turns out I'm indeed pregnant and I'm keeping it. I don't want anything from you.
I just though you should know.

well...you know how I feel.

I do.

I don't want anything to do with you or the baby.

I know. Just though you should know. Can you take me home now?

Yeah...let's go.

They drove in silence. There was nothing to say. She was scared shitless and had no clue how she was going to do this, but she just knew this was what she wanted. She was sad but she was at peace.

When they got to her house he just looked at her for a while but didn't say anything. She so wanted him to say anything. She wondered if he was sad also. She open the door to get out, but then stopped herself midway, she looked at him and said: "Good bye"
and she knew that was going to be the last time she will speak to him.

Lorelai: It's from my mother.

The End * Sniff*

We all know that my Moral Compass is a little…how should I say this…twisted?
Don’t get me wrong I’m a good person, just a little evil inside. (hollllaaaaaaa to my peeps) So there is no surprise that some really disturbing things fascinate me. Some are truly epic; like the one that just ended.

WHY DO THEY DO THIS TO ME?
They get you addicted, show you there is something else out there, and give you just a little more, they reel you in…they keep you in suspense… and then WHAM they take it all away at once.
WHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY????

If you don’t understand what I’m talking about, you obviously have not seen the beautiful complex drama called “Jersey Shore”

How am I going to get my fix now?
How am I going to cheer on when they have fights?
How can I get my doses of 20 jars of Gel?
Tell me how am I supposed to live without youuuuuuuuu… record scratching

I mean is not like every day you see a guy doing his GTL (Gym Tanning Laundry)

I am so crushing for Mike “the Situation” LOL He can cook, he can bench press, he can speak two languages (English and Guido),
and best of all he can take his shirt off 20 times without me even asking. Ahhhhhhh. so much inspiration. I mean seriously this is what I wanna be when I grow up. Just a bunch of crazy drinking fist pumping lunatics fighting over pickles and skanks.

And now it’s over, now I have to content myself with reruns of this magical hour until the DVD comes out. The hub thinks they should send them to Italy next summer just to see what antics they can pull off. I’m totally voting to make “the Situation” the national Spokesperson of the guidos. I think I'm in love. (he is the one neeling in the front)
I also think that Jwoww breast should have their own show. Then again she can created a video on how to beat up people...she is my hero. Who can get in to fights in stilettos? She can!!!!
Oh so many memories...the hater juice, the hot tub, Snooky falling all over the place, the drama between Sammie and Ronnie, Pauly D stalker...oh my. Thats it...I'm changing my name to P-Pumping!

Ahhhh, let me go work on my hair poof. Oh~and I've decided I'm totally going to be "Snooky" for Halloween...buahahaha

I think they got me confused

There is something really odd about my junk email. Seriously.

I mean, the way they send the junk mail to me is quite hysterical. For one they are trying to get me free samples of a blue pill that I do not need- Thank Gawd- for another they are trying to get me to enlarge a certain piece of anatomy that I do not possess.

I think the junk mail people also have me confused with Pablo Escobar (with all due respect, I don’t want his living relatives coming after me).

Here is a sample of the subject on these emails: Replica watches, Rolex, the look for less. But now that I think about it Pablo surely had the real deal. Then it continues to "be a real man, show her a great time, it works everytime, how to be the best latin lover..." you get the idea. Then to top it all off: SINGLE RUSSIAN WOMEN…meet Beautiful Women, Sexy Blond 24, etc, etc, etc. So aparently I'm a latino man that can only think of one thing, looking for available women for sale, and fake watches.

There is not one thing targeted for my demographic, not even close. I think is Karma for working a few years ago in a sweat shop…errr…a Marketing Mailing List company. Let me tell you a little bit about it.

These places basically sell your information to other companies, base on income, sex, education, shopping history, etc. That’s right my friend, right now somewhere out there, some company is selling your name and address for a profit and there is nothing you can do about it. Let me explain: if you purchase with a credit card that basically puts your name in that company’s data base and they can in term sell those names. If you subscribe to their mailing list, yeap…name is there. If you though to buy a gift for your grandma or the crazy coworker that everyone gave you cash for and you decided to put it in your card…yes, your name is there. Newspaper subscription? Yes. Magazines? Yes. Wedding/Baby registry? That too. The only way you can stop this is by calling all the people that you’ve purchase or get catalogs from and ask them to remove you from their mailing list…and then pay only cash for EVERYTHING. No, I’m not kidding.

But look at the bright side, your mailbox will never EVER be empty.
So let me go see how much a fake Rolex cost. I can see a white suit in my future…Tony Montana Style ;)

I will Survive...Sing it Gloria!

I'm alive.
That's great 'cause I swore I was dying on Saturday. Thank God there was enough snow outside to cover my body and keep me frozen for a while until the hubs could take me out and buried me (or just dump my ass in the Ocean, either way I'm cool).
Seriously, WTF? Getting sick again...WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYY? I already had my turn. UGH. And this time I refuse to be sick, REFUSE I SAY. I am going to be Dancing the night on Christmas eve, fist pumping, running man jumping, Vogue posing, Macarena style! I'll call it: I've-never-been-drunk-in-my-life-but-i"ll-pretend dance.
yeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Disclosure: If you think I'm a little hyper is 'cause MIL brought some medicine from the motherland (which by the way, will sell you anything without a prescription) and I'm overdosing on it in order to get better. That and large amounts of caffeine...and chocolate :)
So the flight was cancelled Saturday night, but we were able to reschedule for Sunday, which BTW got delayed. It took us 5½ hours to JFK Airport. UGH. Madness. The streets where cover with snow and ice on the towns, but the highway wasn't terrible. Still we were stuck in NYC for the night ('cause little guy started screaming like a banshee when he felt the cold and plus, it was a long ride to make it back)
We ended up crashing with the hubs family, which was actually a lot of fun. It felt like camping. SERIOUSLY. Eight adults and 2 kids in a one bedroom apartment. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...ok, calming down now. Yeah, but seriously it was fun though. For me at least, not for the people who actually had to work the next day and stepped and tripped all over the place on their way to the bathroom. Buahahahahahahaha...way funny.

So Big guy made it and we headed back home Monday, the traffic was horrendous and it only took us...uhm...about 6 hrs to come home...yeah...fun. And THEN I decided to be responsible and told my boss I was coming in to do some payroll ('cause I know if its not done people will come with torches and pitch forks to get me) so after that drive I worked from 5pm to about 8:30pm.

All while being sick.

Then home to take care of the hubs and baby.

Cleaning bottles at 11:30pm.
I'm a freaking Goddess. Go ahead, say it. You know is true :)

I'm feeling better today, also cause the little guy finally is sleeping more. That and the fact that I got a Christmas present: A LUSH SET! (yummy Yummy Yummy Shower Gel & fairy Tail Sugar Scrub) Doing some dancing right now!

So here are some pictures of this crazy and blessed weekend:

Warm baby loving Sis tree:

This is what I learned these last 4 days:
*snow is so pretty...from inside the warm home.
* Airports need WAAAAAY more seating
*it's real: the feeling that if you don't pee right this minute you are going to die
*I'm so glad hubs does the snow shoveling thing
*People CAN and WILL smell the Vick's Vaporub on you :)
*You can survive while breathing out of one nostril.
*there is no better Christmas present than to have your family together.

News and some Favorites for 2009

This Xmas is so going to rock! Seriously I’m in such a freaking good mood I’m actually annoying myself. I’m acting like one of those perky- happy-all-the-time-cheerleader-type that I hate so much. YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEE
That or maybe the huge amounts of sugar I’ve been consuming thanks to all the baskets they send to the Big Boss is making me high. Either way I’m so happy “no one is gonna break my style”! Oh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Anyhow, it’s official. I got a confirmation ticket for my oldest. He’ll be officially here tomorrow night (if the snow storm lets him land) so cross your fingers and toes for me…GO ON DO IT!

I’ll take pictures of the reunion. The plan is that Hubs is going to wear a hat and glasses and have a sign that reads: Mr. blahblahblah. I’m going to pretend to be a fan and have a huge sign with his name and I will start screaming like a Jonas Fan on Acid. It’s going to be superb and if all goes to plan he will be severely embarrassed by his Mom and we will call it even…for now.

So back to Moi. There is a few things that I’m really liking right now. I try to make a list every year of my Fav for that year so I can look back and laugh my ARS off when I see them later in life. I mean seriously, who told me using 5 pairs of socks of different colors was cool?. It did save my ankle when a horse decided to kick me, but that’s another story.

So this year I have just a few... for now. There are things from last year that are still in my favorite list like Coastal Scent Makeup, CVS, Honey Nut Cheerios, and a bunch more.

1.The first Item is a baby item: Up & Up Nighttime Baby Bath from Target. I love the smell and how gentle it is. The price is just right too (Below Johnson’s) try it.

2. Urban Decay Primer Potion. Love it. Your eye shadow will not crease with this and makes it stick so even the cheapest kind will work beautifully. My only complain is that because of the shape of the tube, there is a huge amount of product in it that you will need to de-potted in order to get it. (you can see tutorials on YOUTUBE for this)

3.Shoes that look high couture but aren’t. These are from payless my friends and they are fearless (Yes, I own them) The inside is the most beautiful blue and gold satin.

4.Nutella. My Godfather use to get this for us when I was litlle. Love it then and love it now!

5.Don’t hate me. This is another baby product: The Boppy. Since I had the little guy this year I’m all into it. I still use it and it makes the feeding oh so confortable. Why didn’t they have these 17 yrs ago?!

There you have it. There is also a few other things I'm loving-like my set of makeup brushes- so I'll let you know about those later. Oh, and I have a story about when Mommy Dearest bit a Donkey. Seriously.

For Lori

Today I have a really long post about a dear friend. I know it's Christmas time and is supposed to be all happy and cheery, and all about decorating and the fluff but I keep thinking about her a lot lately and I think she should deserve a post just for her.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the way we judge people. People around us that we think they are so nice and really deep down they aren't. People that seem friendly but they are not. Or the worst kind of judgement: people that we JUDGE for they way they look/act and that are really kind people, nice people, sick people, suffering people. People that Just want to feel loved, cared, or even just talked to.

I believe everyone has a story.

If you pay attention and listen you’ll find that everyone has something to say, has some story
to tell. Sometimes the story is funny or silly; sometimes is sad, and others are tragic. This one is both sad and tragic to me.

I was a bad friend. I failed to notice the desperation on a friend’s actions.

I met Lori while working as a Design Consultant. She was super hyper and full of energy.
She was in her early 40’s. No kids, never been married.
She talked a lot always :) . She was very particular if not odd. She dressed in suits but wore Cowboy boots. She love the southwestern lifestyle but sold the European Country like there was no tomorrow. She drank a lot of Black Cherry Soda and ice Coffee but hated regular coffee. She had a dog that she loved more than life itself. She refused to have sex with a guy she really liked
‘cause she had only shave one of her legs (that's for another story). Odd I tell you. But she was funny. She was like a used car salesperson in a good way. Very colorful.

When I left the job we kept in contact and went out to eat a few times. She acted really weird, but nothing crazy enough for me to be concerned. She fought with the waiter (in a more than loud voice) at a Italian Restaurant 'cause she wanted butter not Olive Oil for her bread, when they brought the butter she didn't even touch it and proceeded to use the oil.

Her voice was louder than normal in our conversations after that. Then the other friend we had in common also told me of a similar situation at the movie theater. She was acting so weird. Of course we just though she was really sad about her father’s death. She had lost her father that
year and had to see him died. She was all alone at that time (her parents where Divorced). Even though we talked all the time suddenly she stopped answering my calls, she never returned them - no emails either. She was always responsible and all of the sudden
she was missing work a lot. She was taking cabs and claimed her car was in the shop. People where calling her asking for money at the work place. We all though she had money issues and just was to embarrassed to tell us. We didn't get why her car got reposessed. It got so bad with her missing work so many times that they had to let her go. Our mutual friend went by her home (BTW-At that time I was already living in another state) after several attempts to contact her by phone and email.
When she saw Lori she said that she looked like she hadn’t had a bath in days and certainly smelled liked it too. That was so strange. We kept trying to call and email her with no avail. I have to say that a one point I gave up ad thought if that was the way she wanted it so be it. I though she was just acting up asking for attention. I though she was just being stupid. We though that she was acting crazy and though she was the bad friend to us.
Then, on December 11, 2008 I received this email from our mutual friend:

“Hi Patricia, I have some bad news about Lori. She passed away from a brain tumor on November 28th. Below is the link to her obituary. I feel horrible. All that time she was behaving erratically was because of the tumor. Her mother had called me at Williams Sonoma right before Thanksgiving to tell me that Lori was sick and needed surgery. I planned to visit her after the holiday weekend since C's mom was in town, but it was too late. Sorry to be the bearer of such sad news, but I thought you would want to know.
T”

Lori passed away.

No words can ever express the sadness that I felt- the guilt.
How could us- her friends- not see this?

How could we judge her like we did?

This taught me that we have to learn to listen better, to be better people, to see the others and listen to them without judgment. We have to try harder at being better friends, neighbors, family. We have to LISTEN to the clues around us and never ever give up on people. We have to be more compassionate and not judge the nerd at work, the person that
dresses a little different, the one that may seem odd to us.
I have to be better.

I owe that much to Lori. So here is to you odd balls of the world. To the Princess the acts out to impress other people, to the rebel that just wants someone to ask what is wrong, to the one that reads the book alone at lunch and not because is really interesting.
And here is to the wonderful fulfilling life that God has blessed me to have everyday. To come home to this, no matter what kind of day I have- is a blessing:

I want the world...

My song of the day (playing over, and over in my pretty little head):
Veruca Salt:Gooses! Geeses!I want my geese to lay gold eggs for Easter

Mr. Salt:It will, sweetheart

Veruca:At least a hundred a day

Mr.Salt:Anything you say

Veruca:And by the way

Mr. Salt:What?

Veruca:I want a feast.

Mr. Salt:You ate before you came to the factory

Veruca:I want a bean feast!

Mr. Salt:Oh, one of those

Veruca:Cream buns and doughnuts and fruitcake with no nuts So good you could go nuts

Mr. Salt:You can have all those things when you get home

Veruca:No, now!!

I want a ball
I want a party
Pink macaroons and a million balloons
And performing baboons and ...Give it to me
Rrhh rhhhNow!
I want the world
I want the whole world
I want to lock it all up in my pocket
It's my bar of chocolate
Give it to me
Now!

I want today
I want tomorrow
I want to wear 'em like braids in my hair
And I don't want to share 'em
I want a party with room fulls of laughter
Ten thousand tons of ice cream
And if I don't get the things I am after I'm going to scream!
I want the works
I want the whole works
Presents and prizes
and sweets and surprises
Of all shapes and sizes
And now
Don't care how
I want it now
Don't care how
I want it now

(above is the New Veruca Salt)

hehehehehe- got to love that. I love, love this Character from the Original "Willy Wonka"
Anyhewwwwwwwww.
I'm in a supper dupper mood because after waiting forEVER an a day, Big Guy (aka oldest child) is coming in 2 weeks!!!
We are spending Christmas in NYC, and it's going to be oh-so-great!
We are meeting with tons of friends and family, eating a ton of delicious food from the motherland and enjoying to our hearts content.
We may also be away for New years going to "Los Poconos" PA, which in Winter is the place to be! yaaaaayyyyyy. I needed to feel so happy. I can't wait for you to see my big guy. I think we should spent our first night together pulling an allnighter, talking, watching old movies and eating tons of junk.
What do you think?

I'm a Horrible Person

THERE, I SAID IT!

Go ahead and hate me 'cause I don't like myself too much either for feeling this way.

I am a really ungrateful and envious person. I never knew this about me. Huh, go figure.

I'm sorry but every time I see or read about someone complaining because the stores where too full, or how stressful this holiday is, or how there is no time to decorate I want to pull my hair out and scream (in true Michael & Janet Jackson Video)

HOLY CRAPOLA- excuse me for this but what is there to complain about?

Seriously, you are going to complaint about all the shopping you have to do?

Complain about your home?

About cooking for the family you are going to have over?

Have you looked around you?

I am in serious distress 'cause all we have is packed away and all our stuff is scattered around, and my back hurts from bending all the time to get the plastic containers or suitcases, and I'm seriously upset 'cause I can't find my tweezers and I can't afford to buy one and I'm going to look like Jack Nicholson in "The Shinning"!!!!! (ain't gonna be pretty)

GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

STOP THE COMPLAINTS!

I was green with envy every time I saw those beautiful homes, every time another "easy Christmas Decor" went on. I was bitter and sad and I know it was not right. I know these people are lucky and I shouldn't be envious or resentful, but I was. I was sad that I was so bitter. I was sad 'cause that's really not who I am. I was sad 'cause this is the little guys first Christmas and there was so much I wanted to do for him.

Don't take it to heart. I'm upset with me, not with y'all (imagine Britney saying it) because this is my reality and it's not your fault. Then when I'm about to finally take some courage and run into a wall I read this post from Thrifty Decor Chick, which is like one of my decorating idols and then I TRULY get mad at myself.

How dare I get mad because God has provide me an opportunity to see how strong we are? An opportunity to grow together as a couple and start with a clean slate? An opportunity to spent a very close Christmas with my Sister.

I should never complaint because there are more serious pressing matters going on in the world today. So many people wishing they can have kids, wishing they had a job, wishing food for their kids, wishing just to wish upon a start that life will be better.

I'm really lucky. I'm truly blessed. I'm truly wealthy.
My kids and family are priceless. We can do it together.

So tonight to get me off this funk, I will be going home jamming to Jay Z "Big Pimping" 'cause sometimes you just have to!

"My strength is made perfect in weakness" St. Paul

Ok St. Paul, you better know what you where talking about 'cause I'm counting on it!

I'M BACK.

Incredible enough we survive the last 2 days. So there; That's done.

I finally told my younger Sister about the situation on Sunday (and by that I mean I ran to the bathroom and let the hubs tell her) She has rescue us and we are currently living in her basement. The baby seems to think he is having a sleep over and is enjoying himself; the cat in the other hand is not doing too well :) I believe she thinks she is being punish (I feel her pain) and stays in one corner next to the washing machine.

The one thing that kept me from crying was that amongst the chaos the hubs grab me in our parking and hug me and gave me the longest kiss ever and told me he loves me and that he is so glad he is going thru this with me 'cause anyone else would have run for the hills. Say it with me: Awwwwwwww

You know in every move/ packing experience there's bickering and fights and things of the sort.

We didn't fought once. I mean we are dead poor so there is nothing there to fight about. I was just glad we have each other.

I am so grateful though. For my Hubs, for our baby, for a Sister that is being severely inconvenience and her family for giving up their basement. For my God Daughter that tells me in her 19 month voice: I wuw you and hugs me. For the four tequila-drinking-at-9am-crazy-guys who where kind enough to help us move (how did they put a 2 bdrm. apartment into a 10 x 10 storage unit I'll never know-actually I DON'T WANT TO KNOW!) and they where laughing the entire time, making me feel less like a failure.

I am so sad though. I feel like a blanket of cold has wrapped itself around my heart. Only the warn embrace of the hubs can make me fall asleep (that and a Marathon of Law & Order: SVU).

Gosh, this is going to SUCK for a while. There's no getting around that. But I have to think of all the positives: My Sis has cable!!! Now I can watch T.V again!

Also, I did more exercise in 2 days that I have done the entire year.

Another positive: we lost our coffee table and TV unit. hehehe, it was falling apart and finally couldn't make the trip to the storage so: TADA, less crap to carry.

Uhm, that's all I can think for now. I'll keep you guys posted.Thank yo to those out there sending messages and encouraging words. It's more appreciated than you'll ever know.

Everything will work itself out...

Everything will work itself out...
Either that or a nice padded room is in my future.
I'm not going to bored you with all the details (quite honest, if I think about it too much, I'll just go in fetal position and cry) but we are having a BIG challenge ahead of us.
We have faith.
We have hope.
We have each other.
We have health. (Obviously not the mental kind)
And like they said: "When you hit rock bottom there is no other place to go but Up"

So here's to UP!

Can't wait to see where that is and where life is going to take us. And if all fails, I'll just throw rocks from our bottom to the bystanders :)
I'm probably going to be back after Tuesday when all is settle. But do me a favor, if you see someone that's quiet or lost in thought, go give them a hug...they may really need it.

Giving up one of my addictions...for now :)

In our household there is always one staple in our pantry. We could be missing bread, milk, rice, etc...but you bet that dear hubs is going to have this item in the house:
We can wait to next shopping trip for anything else but if Coke is missing hubs will go for a drive and magically "PUFF" Coke will be there. It was getting a little ridiculous when I saw that we where buying 3 * 2 Ltrs every other day. No kidding! 6 Ltrs in 2 or 3 days! Hubs has always been addicted and since he doesn't drink coffee (WEIRDO) that IS his caffeine jolt. For me, I started drinking more of it since we got together and was trying to get him to quit but instead he got me hooked!

So today is our second day without it *YIKES*, we made the commitment of 30 days on no soda for now so let's see how that goes. Thank Heavens I still have my coffee :) People around me are afraid someone is going to get hurt, I just tell them to give me a week so the nervous tick wears off.

Over and Out

P.S
I decided to dance around in the office just to see what reaction I got from people and basically they all acted like it was normal for me to sing "Rent" and dance...figures! I should try harder to shock them.

A Conversation and coffee

I'm dead tired. Little man had his 6 months shots yesterday and had a really difficult night. I don't remember the last time I slept 6 hours straight...must've been before I got pregnant. Oh well, since I am so pooped I am going today with a little conversation between me and the hubs:
we are out and about; Hubs goes to bathroom.

Me: Did you wash your hands?

Hubs: yeah, why?

Me:whatdayamean why? 'cause there's the flu and H1N1 around and we have an infant.
I have Purell on the bag if you need some.

hubs: I did wash them, Geeezzz.

me: Ok, just checking.

a moment passes

hubs: uhmmmmmmm

me: what?

hubs: maybe I should use the Purell just in case...

me: I though you say you wash them...

hubs: yes, but people touch the faucet and the door handle and this, this and that... just give
me some

me: anha!!!

Yes, hon...let's just say you DID wash them.
In other news: this is a little view of how I intend to survive today.

If you could marry a hot beverage, this would be it: Hot Caramel Latte.

Since I'm addicted to coffee.can't.live.with.it.or.i'll.get.a.headache I can tell you I've tried many, many different kinds of this delectable treat.

Yeah, Starbucks is good, but I don't really feel like paying $5 for a coffee and have a punk teenager look at me weird when I don't say: soy latte, skim milk, no foam, Chi something. I like WaWa's coffee (unbelievable enough the Hazelnut one) and I will gulp a few cups at any dinner or Denni's or IHOP or Friendly's around. Panera Bread has very decent coffee as well.

I am also the proud owner of a Tassimo Machine, you know, one of those individual machines that can make tea, hot cocoa, cappuccinos, lattes, etc. It's so worth it and HIGHLY recommend it.

And still I think I like this beverage from DD better. uhm...maybe I should go around and taste every coffee in a 20 mile radius and compared them...maybe the hubs will tie me down when I am all hyper like last night that I ask him to chase me around the house if he wanted to know where the chocolates where...uhm..decisions, decisions.

Lets make a SNIFFLE song!

Oh God Almighty!
Is everyone and their mother sick?
Seriously, I feel everywhere I turn there are sick people. Hubs said that you should see
the faces when someone sneeze/coughs on the train- he said is quite funny since everyone
has that panic.oh.dear.lord.don't.let.it.be.H1N1 face!
HEHEHE

Not that I don't think is serious, but we come from a place that just "deals" with stuff. I believe if you are gonna get it, you are gonna get it no matter what you do. Dear B-I-L is probably the healthiest guy I know: eats green like is going out of style, low fat, low sugar, wheat stuff: all the stuff I don't/wont eat. It just seems he's been sick for MONTHS now. Gets sick, recups for a few days, and sick again. UGH.

Yesterday they called me from the daycare 'cause the little guy was crying a lot and not wanting his bottle or sleep; so I left work early to get him and by the time I got there he was sleeping. Don't they recognize a fuzzy baby? Either way, since he has been congested and was diagnose with Croup last week I decided to have the Doctor take a look at him (I guess all the panic around me is rubbing on) and of course he is fine and just has a little cold. Can I tell you the waiting area in the office looked like the E.R? JAMMED PACKED!

I guess I should not complaint about it, at least people are trying to prevent this from going around even more. Even our office is full of Lysol, purell and Clorox (oh, and did I mention BIG Boss ordered Masks?-yeap, he did).
On that note, hubs has a cough, so does my Sister, her Baby, her husband, my little guy and of course: ME! (I don't feel sick though)

So let us get together and cough in unison!
Hope we all get better soon.

My Mom is a witch

Not literally though (I think)

why is it when something is happening to me she "just" happens to call?
Seriously, is creepy. I mean, we are not close or anything, not like I call her to let her know whats happening in my life. Don't get me wrong, we talk, we ask how the family is, about Dad, who's getting married/divorce and all that jazz. I just don't tell her everything. We are two different from each other and have never gotten along.
This is why is so strange to me that every time something is happening to me she just...calls.
I remember when I was pregnant the first time around, she told my Dad "Get prepared 'cause Patricia's pregnant" yeap, she knew.
Every.single.time. something is happening she calls. is like a sensor thing. Breakup with looser boyfriend #222 (kidding) she called. Broken heart? Called. Money issues? Called. Health not so good? Called. Then of course she called last night. I didn't say anything and she basically just ask if all was well, but its creepy. LOL

I wonder if I have that.
I wonder if other Mom's have it. Do we get a microchip inserted when we delivered those babies to let us know when they need us? when they are sad? when they are scared? when their hearts are broken?

I've always been ridiculously close to our oldest. I mean, not that I'm not close to little man, but lest face it: he is only about 6 months old and we are indeed as close as we can right now. I know what each cries mean and know the difference between "I'm hungry" or "I'm sleepy" and I finally realize that right now, he is the boss.
But with Big guy we've been like best friends and even though we respect each other we can joke around and be silly. I believe he trust me and I have the most absolute trust in him. I've been blessed with good kids.

I sure hope that I got that microchip-six sense deal going on with them. I wish I can sense when they need me, when they need to talk or when life gets too hard. I hope and wish that instead oof them telling me all is well when I call they can feel close to me and tell me they worries.

Over and out.
