The one with the search

I've not been able to write as much as I want, it has been crazy trying to find a place to move to in  NYC. Seriously, what' up New York? is it too much to ask for a decent apartment, clean and with closets here?! Aparently yes. I think I have a better chance running into Katie Holmes and going for a latte like Bff's.

I have seen it all: the small one that you can actually shower and use the toilet at the same time. (and no closet-none. the realto is like "go to IKEA" and I'm like yeah, and where am I putting it? in the shower? Seriously no space) The one so far I swear the sign when we arrive said EastBumblefuck. The one that had so much roaches it look like they where having a Sweet 16 Bash in the kitchen YUK! -although it was LARGE, it just had to be fix, then fumigate, then had a bomb explode in it, I'm telling you- it would work.

We have seen half decent ones very over priced (broker fee alone is either 2 months rent or 15% of the anual lease). There are some beautiful places but sadly some of them are asking for you to make 80 times the  monthly rent, or give them your first born, your choice.

I am hoping to move SOON. My BIL is here too and there are just too many people together. Plus I think they need their home back, and so do we.

One good thing is that I am able to fake where I'm going for the most part. I can now take the subway, bus and grab a cab. :) I know, small triumphs. I've also been reconnecting with old friends and getting excited to been able to see them more often. Yay for old friends.

Most evenings we are still walking...getting to see this on the Horizon...

On our weekends we go here...

Posing like nuts...running away from the Central Park mice...seriously they are NOT affraid of humans

But overall I think I am more settle on the decision of moving here, seems like we are all going to be ok. I'm thinking of a little change too. I have to cut this Pocahontas hair soon, heat+ subway+ long ass hair= one hot me. So since I dont want to cut it all off I'm thinking of doing this:

I'm jumping on the Ombre trend but going with my usual red, cutting a few layers. I think it will be fun (pic from google-just type red ombre hair).

So that is it. No much to report. But as soon a half decent apartment comes my way, you will hear in the news "WOMAN DIES OF EXCITMENT".

P.S. don't get me wrong, if you have unlimited budget you can find anything you want, we just don't.

Late FMM Oh well

It is Monday, actually Tuesday when I porst this, but to my credit I had an awesome weekend followed by an awesome Monday. The Hubs was here to get his regular check up due to his Thiroid going loco, and it was so nice to just walk hand in hand, just me an him, even though it took 3 hours at the Dr's office. By the time we where done we where hungry and got to stop and had lunch together, just me and him. So nice. Then like a good Hubs he dropped me off to have a Mani-Pedi (not wasting money since I have an interview tomorrow-YAY!)

Then family dinner, and even more awesomeness by watching movies all together. Oh what a fabulous Monday... so here it is: late but here

If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules. (The same rules apply today!) Finish the Sentence

I like…animals...like a lot. I wish I can have a big old farm house with chickens, goats, cows, etc. And yes, I still eat them.
I don’t like…Pickles and cucumbers. I actually get nauseous just thinking about it.
I am…crazy. Seriously.
I love…my Hubs. He gets me. He loves me. and my kiddos, cause they are as crazy as their mama.
I dream of…in my own home again, no matter where that is.
I wonder…if someone will ever apologize to me.
I know…that I am a good, kind person.
I went…no where except NYC so far.
I have…very good qualities as a person.
I think…that some people are just not meant to be in my life.
I plan…to work hard to get where we need and want to be.
I regret…many things, but I also regret not speaking my mind more and sooner.
I do…want to loose weight
I drink…a lot of caffeine..
I wish…for my own space again and a calm life.
I am…frustrated, but knowing the good things in life take time and effort.
I am not…completely happy with my situation but VERY grateful for my life.
I need…to stop procrastinating and go do what I really want to do.
I hope…that I can forgive
I want…OUR OWN PLACE!!!!!
I sometimes…wonder if I really expect that much from people.
I always…try to help others, Always.
I can…walk 40 NYC blocks without passing out (for someone that use to drive every where this is HUGE)
I cannot…wait for the day when I look back quietly and think : we did it, and F*U non believers.
I will…do what my heart wants and loves.

Now it’s your turn to answer this week’s questions! Don’t forget to come back here and link up in the comments. Happy Tuesday, Friends!

Finally writting again

I'm back again. Not in full force since there is still too many things for me to get done. As you notice some things have change. I am not going to make a big deal about it but lets just say I wanna be able to write without being judge, I want to say what I feel like when I want to and I want to be able to be honest when I do get in here. Some people just made it a little uncomfortable for me so things had to change.

New York living has been interesting. I seem to be ebjoying it more, the independence of hoping on a train and getting any where, the fact that shopping is made so easy, having things delivered for free when you have a kiddo is AMAZING (specially living in a 5th floor with no elevator). We are still looking for an apartment and some things are working out better than others, but I'm not going to lie, the adjustment has been hard.

The kiddo loves it thought, the parks have sprinklers which he loves, he gets escited about the train, and even telling him we are going to Target he gets all "are we taking the train?" excited. Having so much family around sure helps too. We have also been walking a lot, going to a track field so my son and SIL hubs can run, it takes us a while to get there and I'm finally making it without pain (it's 40 blocks to get there and come back). Thankfully we have this view to keep us on track: RIVERSIDE!

Pictures are not mine (FOUND on Google)since I always forget to get the camera, Lets see if I remember today. So this has been my life so far, rumming the NY streets with the boys, enjoying the heart beat of a very hectic and crazy city, looking forward to the weekends when the Hubs comes back from working in DC.

Looking forward to getting our new place and seeing what else life has in store for us.
