It's Monday! FMM 7-11 (and not the store)

Yay for FMM, Boooo for the crazy days that lay ahead of me. Someone mentioned that now that I'm home I don't do much, when in reality I do more than what I did when I was working full time. But Iam happy to always take time to participate on Friend Makin' Monday!

If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules. If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s question on your own blog then add your link in the comments section here at: www.alltheweigh.com so we can all see your FMM questions and answers. Please invite your blog readers to add their links here too so everyone has to opportunity to be seen. The idea is to connect with other awesome bloggers so take a moment to post your own FMM post and comment on a couple of other posts. Now it’s time for this week’s topic!

FMM: How Much Weight Have You Lost? And what have you gained from losing it? (If you’re participating in FMM – and you’re not on a weight-loss journey, tell us about a powerful change you’ve made in your life!)

This is a hard topic for me because I see other people doing those fast diets and I feel like a looser. I am doing this for me, as a life changing step for me. I was really bad last month and gained 4 lbs, which may not seen like much but I am short and already 180 lbs. I was so sad and discourage. I resolve on stop thinking on what I did wrong and focus on getting better.

I have so far lost those 4 lbs in 2 weeks, which to me is fantastic but I haven't mentioned to anyone. It probably could have been better but I did not deprived myself of the hardest thing for me to give up: sweets. But now I am only eating within my calorie limit intake.

What I have learned and that no matter what size I am I have to love my self first, that would also help me make better choices for myself. I learned that I can indulge on 2 cookies and feel happy and not worry that I would feel deprived. I learned that I must exercise(even if I don't like it much now) if I want to reach my goal, that one day I will become a runner. I've learned that for me is all about acknowledge my flaws and work on them...one cookie at a time :)

Above this past weekend (which some people *caugh-teenage-son caugh* asked me not to post) below pregnant with the little guy.

Now please come join us, and tell us all about it. Seriously this is one of the places that I can count on to make me feel I'm not alone and that I can learn from everyone else's journey. Over & out

Slow and steady is the best way! I have lost 60+ pounds on crash diets on 3 different times, then always gained it ALL back + more! It took me 4 years to lose 107 pounds... but this time I kept it off.

4 pounds in two weeks, is awesome! Keep it up, and don't sweat it too much if once in a while, a little bit comes back, as long as you keep at it, it will come off. :)

Stopping by from FMM!

Slow changes seem to be best for longevity, and that's my goal...I want to lose weight once...I'm just trying to continually make better choices and habits....you know? I'm healthier now than I've probably ever been even when I was thinner. That's important too!

Slow is the way to go, this is your journey so dont feel down if you feel like your progress isnt like someone else's. You are 4 pounds closer to your goal and everytime you feel like a pound isnt a lot to lose, go to the grocery store and hold a pound of hamburger meat, it will change your perspective on "its only a pound" =)
